The technology
The Sliding Form technology is basically applicable for construction of slender
reinforced concrete structures. These kind of structures are usually built in
three steps sequence:
- reinforcement bars installation
- form assembly
- concrete pour
The Sliding Form technology adapts the industrial chain to the construction process, permitting the three main activities to execute at the same time.
It is based on the manufacture of a small height form (1.00 to 1.35 ms), metallic reinforcing structure and auxiliary structures adapted to a set of synchronous hydraulic jacks moved by an hydraulic system. The resulting form is elevated continuously, allowing the continuous execution of the works mentioned above.

The concrete used for this construction technology must have a setting speed of 4-6 hours to ensure the best result in speed and quality. Usually the concrete layers have 20-30 cm and are executed each 1-2 hour.
